松林院（しょうりんいん）は、清浄華院（しょうじょうけ-いん）の近くにあります。松平容保（まつだいら-かたもり）は、幕末に京都守護職として京都を守るため、松林院（しょうりんいん）に寄宿していました。
Shorin-in is located near Shojoin-in. Matsudaira-Katamori was a boarder at Shorin-in in order to protect Kyoto as the guardian of Kyoto at the end of the Edo period.
松林院（しょうりんいん）は清浄華院（しょうじょうけ-いん）の境内にあり、京都御所（きょうと-ごしょ）のすぐ近くに位置しています。これは、御所（ごしょ）の警備を迅速に行うための戦略的な選択でした。
Shorin-in is located in the precincts of Shojoke-in, very close to Kyoto-gosho. This was a strategic choice to expedite the security of the Gosho.
松林院（しょうりんいん）は、伏見天皇の皇孫である清浄華院（しょうじょうけ-いん）第八世 敬法（きょうほう）上人が創建した由緒ある寺院で、幕末には会津藩の拠点としても機能していました。
Shorin-in is a venerable temple founded by the eighth generation of Emperor Fushimi’s grandson, Shojoke-in, and served as a base for the Aizu Domain at the end of the Edo period.
