櫨方門(はぜかた-もん)は、現在の場所に移設されています。この門は、1957年に加藤神社の移転に伴い移築され、熊本城の独特な防御構造の一部です。
The Hazekata-mon has been relocated to its current location. This gate was relocated in 1957 with the relocation of Kato Shrine and is part of the unique defensive structure of Kumamoto Castle.
櫨方門(はぜかた-もん)へと続く道は「枡形（ますがた）」と呼ばれる直角カーブが連続しており、敵の動きを鈍らせ、守備側に優位な位置を提供する設計になっています。この配置により、熊本城の防衛強度を高めているのが特徴です。
The road leading to Hazekata-mon is a series of right-angle curves called “masu-gata”, which are designed to slow down the enemy’s movement and provide an advantageous position for the defenders. This arrangement is characterized by increasing the defense strength of Kumamoto Castle.
2016年の熊本地震で損傷しましたが、現在も修復計画が進んでいる重要な史跡です。
It was damaged by the Kumamoto earthquake in 2016, but it is an important historical site that is still undergoing restoration plans.

現在は復興が進められており、修復が完了すればその美しい門の姿が再び蘇る予定です。
