熊本城内の「備前塀（びぜんべい）」は、江戸時代の熊本藩主である加藤清正が築いたこの塀は、独特の構造と美しい意匠が特徴です。
The “Bizen-bei” in Kumamoto Castle was built by Kato Kiyomasa, the lord of Kumamoto in the Edo period, and is characterized by its unique structure and beautiful design.
備前焼（びぜんやき）の瓦を使用した塀で、強度と耐久性を兼ね備え、地震や火事にも強いとされています。

2016年の熊本地震で大きな被害を受けましたが、修復が進み、今ではその雄大な姿を再び見ることができます。歴史や日本建築の素晴らしさを感じられるスポットとして、観光名所の一つとなっています。
