道修町四丁目は、北から5番目の町です。北浜、今橋、高麗橋・伏見町、南は平野町です。東は東横堀川から道修町通り（西向きの一方通行）が走っています。西は西横堀川跡の地域に接しています。また、道修町四丁目には、武田薬品工業株式会社の本社があります。

道修町という名前の由来について、この地域は、古くから「道修谷」と呼ばれていたそうです。江戸時代中頃まで、上町台地と洲島との谷間にあたる道修町一丁目周辺が「道修谷」と呼ばれていたことに由来するという説があります。また、「道修寺という寺」に由来するという説もあるそうです。

くすりの道修町資料館は、少彦名神社の境内にある資料館です。薬種仲買仲間124軒が株仲間として幕府から公認されたのが、くすりの町・道修町の始まりだったことを紹介されています。また、少彦名命が日本医薬の始祖とされていることから、少彦名命に関する展示もあります。
