京都御苑には、京都御所や公家邸宅あとなど見どころが沢山あります。また公園として整備せれていますので、緑や花などが美しかったです。

とても広い敷地で、全てを周っているとかなりの運動になりますよ。天気のよい日にはベンチでゆっくりと読書をするのもいいですよ。京都御所をぐるりと囲む約4キロほどの広大な公園です。こちらに生息する樹木は約5万本と言われております。
It’s a very large site, and it’s quite a workout to go around everything. When the weather is nice, you can sit on the bench and read a book. It is a vast park of about 4 kilometers that surrounds Kyoto Gosho. It is said that there are about 50,000 trees that live here.
京都御苑は、元々は宮家や公家の邸宅が立ち並ぶ町でした。それが明治になって都が東京に移り、これら邸宅は取り除かれ、公園として整備され市民へ開放されたそうです。今では京都市民の憩いの場、春は桜、秋は紅葉がとても綺麗です。京都の中心で特別な空間となっています。
