京都市東山区にある臨済宗（りんざい-しゅう）東福寺派の寺院で、大本山東福寺の塔頭（たっちゅう）です。
It is a temple of the Rinzai sect of Tofukuji in Higashiyama Ward, Kyoto City, and is the head of the tower of Daihonzan Tofukuji.
この寺院は、旧法性寺（ほっしょうじ）五大堂の遺仏（けんぶつ）である不動明王（1006年開眼）を本尊としています。そのため、「五大堂 同聚院（どうじゅ-いん）」とも呼ばれています。
The main shrine is Fudo Myō (opened in 1006), the relic of the five great halls of the old Hosshoji Temple. For this reason, it is also called “Godaido Tōjū-in”.

同聚院（どうじゅ-いん）は、10世紀に藤原忠平によって建立された天台宗 法性寺（ほっしょうじ）の跡地に東福寺が建てられ、五大堂は火災から逃れた不動明王を安置するために再建されました。現在の五大堂は1714年に再興されたものです。
In the 10th century, Tofuku-ji Temple was built on the site of the Tendai sect founded by Fujiwara Tadahei, and the Godaido Hall was rebuilt to enshrine Fudo-myo, who escaped the fire. The current Great Hall was rebuilt in 1714.
この寺院は、特に女性から「働く女性の守り本尊」として信仰されており、近代においては祇園の芸妓（げいこ）で胡弓（こきゅう）の名手として知られた日本のシンデレラ・モルガンお雪さんの信仰を縁としています。
It is believed by women as the “guardian of working women” and is related to the faith of Mr./Ms. of Japan, Cinderella Morgan Oyuki, who was known as a geiko of Gion in modern times and a master of the kokyu.
同聚院（どうじゅ-いん）の住所は、京都府京都市東山区本町15丁目799で、拝観時間は9:00から16:00まで（不定休）です。また、最寄り駅は東福寺で、徒歩約15分です。
The address of Doju-in is 15-799 Honmachi, Higashiyama-ku, Kyoto-shi, Kyoto, and the opening hours are from 9:00 to 16:00 (irregular holidays). The nearest station is Tofukuji, which is about a 15-minute walk away.

「働く女性の守り本尊」として女性からの信仰も厚い。何でこれが働く女性の信仰対象になるのかは？さっぱり理解出来ないが。毎年秋に特別拝観も実施されているがいつでも拝観は可能です。
It is also deeply believed by women as the “protector of working women.” Why is this an object of worship for working women? I don’t understand it at all. There is also a special visit every autumn, but you can visit at any time.
境内（けいだい）はいつでも無料、堂塔（どうとう）内は「事前予約」が必要で、しかも「１０名以上」の「学術目的」の「団体」のみしか受付けてもらえない、観光目的は不可らしい。しかも、「一人５００円」。通常はここは「五大堂 同聚院（どうじゅ-いん）」と呼ばれています。
Keidai is always free, “advance reservation” is required in the temple tower, and only “groups” of “10 or more” for “academic purposes” can be accepted, and it seems that sightseeing is not possible. What’s more, it’s 500 yen per person. Normally, this place is called “Godaido Doju-in”.
