香象院（こうぞういん）は、「普賢山（ふげんざん）香象院（こうぞういん）」とも呼ばれ、天正11年（1583年）に忠秀法印（ただひで-ほういん）によって中興（ちゅうこう）され、元文（げんぶん）年間（1736-1740年）に現在の場所に移転しました。
Kozoin, also known as Fugenzan Xiangxuin, was founded in 1583 by Zhongshu Hoin and moved to its current location during the Genbun period (1736-1740).
この寺院は、東国八十八ヵ所霊場の第26番札所でもあります。また、明治6年（1873年）には保土ヶ谷小学校の分校としても利用されていました。
It is also the 26th shrine of the 88 sacred sites in the eastern country. In addition, in Meiji 6 (1873), it was also used as a branch school of Hodogaya Elementary School.
