Bo-an-zaka, as it is called, forms part of the defensive mechanism and beautiful scenery of Kumamoto Castle. This slope was designed to facilitate movement within the castle as well as to prevent enemies from entering.

棒庵坂（ぼうあんざか）は、急な斜面と曲がりくねった構造で、侵入者が進むのを難しくしています。熊本城の設計者である加藤清正が築いた防御機構の一環として機能していました。
Boan-zaka is a steep slope and winding structure that makes it difficult for intruders to advance. It functioned as part of the defensive mechanism built by Kiyomasa Kato, the designer of Kumamoto Castle.
石垣の美しさ
