釣鐘町は、東側（谷町筋）の１丁目から西側（松屋町筋）の２丁目までとなります。東西に細長いエリアであって町はそんなに大きいわけではありません。地形が東西に山なりになっていて、東側が一番高くて徐々に傾斜が付いて西側へと下り坂に。なので、足腰の強さがモノをいう地形なのです。
Tsurigane-cho extends from 1-chome on the east side (Tanimachi-suji) to 2-chome on the west side (Matsuyamachi-suji). The area is long and narrow from east to west, and the town is not that big. The topography is mountainous from east to west, with the highest on the east side gradually sloping downhill to the west. So, it’s a terrain where the strength of the legs is what matters.
道路はほとんど一方通行になっていて、道幅はそんなに広くはないがクルマの通行量は少ないので、道を歩いていても困ることはありません。ただ、区画された町なので四つ角に来たときは飛び出しには注意しないといけない。車以外にも、自転車やバイクが通るからです。

調査報告書（釣鐘町）
大阪市中央区釣鐘町について、探偵1日料金を39.800円と仮定して調査してきましたのでご報告いたします。小さな町ですが、官公庁の近くとあって人の動きは活発であるし、ビルへの出入りも頻繁にされていた。運送会社のトラックがよく停まり、荷物の搬入もかなり多かったです。
I would like to report that I have investigated Tsurigane-cho, Chuo-ku, Osaka, assuming that the daily detective fee is 39.800 yen. It’s a small town, but it’s close to a government office, so people are active, and people come in and out of the building frequently. The trucks of transportation companies often stopped, and there were quite a lot of luggage brought in.
外からはわからないことも多く、町中に入らないと気づかない点も多いわけで。町といっても、そんなに大きな町ではないと思いつつ歩いていたら、マンションばかりだと思っていたが、意外と会社関係のビルや建物がずらりと建ち並んでいるのを見て驚きました。
There are many things that you can’t see from the outside, and there are many things that you won’t notice until you enter the city. Even though it’s called a town, I didn’t think it was that big a town, but when I was walking around, I thought it was just apartment buildings, but I was surprised to see a row of company-related buildings.
住宅地というよりは、商業の町というイメージを強く持ちました。数えたわけでありませんが、会社や事業所、店舗の数は見た目よりも多いかも知れません。なぜなら、テナントビルもそこそこあるので、そのビル内の数を入れたらかなりの数になるでしょう。歩いていたら、上からの目線が気になって仕方なかったです。
Rather than a residential area, I had a strong image of a commercial town. I haven’t counted, but the number of companies, offices, and stores may be more than it seems. Because there are quite a few tenant buildings, so if you include the number in that building, it will be a considerable number. When I was walking, I couldn’t help but worry about the line of sight from above.
