厳島神社（いつくしま）は旧社格は無格社で、主祭神は宗像（むなかた）三女神（市杵島姫命（いちきしまひめ-の-みこと）、田心姫命（たごりひめ-の-みこと）、湍津姫命（たきつひめ-の-みこと））で、祇園女御（ぎおん-にょご）も配祀（はいし）されています。
Itsukushima Shrine is formerly an unqualified shrine, and the main deities are the three goddesses of Munakata (Ichikishima Hime, Tagorihime, and Takitsuhime), and the Gion Goddess is also enshrined.
この神社は池泉廻遊式（ちせんかいゆう‐しき）庭園の一部を構成しており、明治時代に九条家が東京へ転宅した後もそのまま残されています。例祭は6月15日に行われています。
It is part of the Chisenkai Yu-Shiki Garden, which was left untouched after the Kujo family moved to Tokyo during the Meiji era. The annual festival is held on June 15th.
厳島神社（いつくしま）の鳥居は重要美術品として認定されており、花崗岩（かこうがん）製で唐破風（からはふ）形式の鳥居として知られています。
The torii gate of Itsukushima Shrine has been certified as an important work of art and is known as a gable-style torii made of granite.
