京阪電車の石清水八幡宮駅で下車します。改札を出て左斜め前方の東高野街道を進みます。途中の右手に石清水八幡宮の鳥居を右手に見ながら約400m進みます。

Get off at Iwashimizu Hachimangu Station on the Keihan Railway. Exit the ticket gate and follow the Higashi-Koya Highway diagonally to the left. On the way, go about 400 meters while looking at the torii gate of Iwashimizu Hachimangu on your right.

自動車道路が道なりに左にカーブするのでそれを道なりに進みます。左にカーブしてからさらに、約350m進んだ左手に正福寺の表門がさらに先に通用門があります。

The motorway curves to the left along the road, so follow it. After curving to the left, go about 350 meters further and on the left is the main gate of Shofukuji Temple.

京都八幡市のらくがき寺で有名な単伝庵の近くにあります。歴史ある建物で、浄土宗のお寺のようです。路地を歩いていて見つけました。結構大きなお寺さんです。周りは綺麗に掃除されていて、とても立派に見えました。

It is located near the famous Tanden-an temple in Yawata City, Kyoto. It is a historic building and looks like a temple of the Pure Land sect. I found it while walking down the alley. It’s a pretty big temple. The surroundings were clean and looked very magnificent.

江戸時代初期に奉誉上人（とうよしょうにん）により建立されたそうですが、鳥羽伏見の乱で資料はほとんど焼けたとのことです。

It is said that it was built in the early Edo period by Toyo Shonin, but it is said that most of the materials were burned during the Toba Fushimi Rebellion.
