東山駅は京都府京都市東山区大井手町にある、京都市営地下鉄東西線の駅です。

It is a station on the Kyoto Municipal Subway Tozai Line located in Oite-cho, Higashiyama-ku, Kyoto-shi, Kyoto, Japan.

駅番号はT101。

The station number is T101

この駅は、地下鉄開業以前の京阪京津線時代には東山三条駅と呼ばれていました。歴史的には、東西線開業まで、駅直上の三条通には京阪京津線（御陵 – 京津三条間）が敷設されており、当駅付近には東山三条駅が設置されていました。駅施設は第三セクターの京都高速鉄道が建設を担当しました。

Before the opening of the subway, it was called Higashiyama Sanjo Station in the Keihan-Keitsu Line era. Historically, until the opening of the Tozai Line, the Keihan Keitsu Line (between Goryo and Keitsu Sanjo) was laid on Sanjo-dori directly above the station, and Higashiyama Sanjo Station was located near this station. The station facilities were built by Kyoto High Speed Rail in the third sector.

地下3層にある島式ホームを持ち、ホームドアも設置されています。ステーションカラーは菖蒲色（あやめいろ）です。周辺には平安神宮や岡崎公園などの観光地があります。

東山駅は大通り沿いにあって飲食店などの店舗も多いから人通りが多いのですが、治安が良くて過ごしやすいエリアだと思います。横断歩道には自転車専用があるし、人にもよりますがきちんと渡っている人が多いように思います。

Higashiyama Station is located along the main street and there are many restaurants and other stores, so there is a lot of traffic, but I think it is a safe and comfortable area. There is a bicycle crossing at the pedestrian crossing, and depending on the person, I think there are many people who cross properly.

京都の中でも観光地が一番あるところ。バスも多いですし京都駅や市内の何処に行くにしても便利。古き良き京都の奥深さを感じれるところがいいです。お庭を整えたりしてる環境で、静かな場所です。

It is the place with the most tourist spots in Kyoto. There are many buses, and it is convenient to go to Kyoto Station or anywhere in the city. I like the fact that you can feel the depth of good old Kyoto. It is a quiet place in an environment where the garden is tidy.

古川町商店街がある。すごく賑わっているわけではないが、あまり商店街はないので人との交流が好きな人からしたらいいかもしれない。京都らしさを味わえるには最高の地域です。伝統文化を体験できる場所がそこかしこにあります。

There is a Furukawacho shopping street. It’s not very busy, but there aren’t many shopping streets, so it might be good for those who like to interact with people. It is the best area to experience the uniqueness of Kyoto. There are places where you can experience traditional culture everywhere.
