大谷祖廟（おおたにそびょう）は、京都市東山区にある真宗大谷派の本山である真宗本廟（しんしゅうほんびょう）東本願寺が所有する墓地です。この墓地は浄土真宗の宗祖である親鸞（しんらん）の墓所として知られています。
Ōtani Sobyo is a cemetery owned by Shinshu Honbyou Higashi Honganji, the main temple of the Shinshu Oya sect in Higashiyama Ward, Kyoto. This cemetery is known as the tomb of Shinran, the founder of Jodo Shinshu Buddhism.
通称として、「東大谷」とも呼ばれています。
As a common name, it is also called “Higashi Otani”.

大谷祖廟（おおたにそびょう）には親鸞（しんらん）聖人をはじめ、本願寺の歴代、全国各地の寺院・ご門徒（もんと）の方々のご遺骨が納められています。
The remains of Saint Shinran, successive generations of Honganji, and people from temples and gates all over Japan are stored in the shrine.
納骨やお経の受付も行われているので、ぜひ訪れてみてください。また、東大谷墓地という隣接する墓地もあり、こちらも真宗大谷派が管理運営しています。

八坂神社から、紅葉の季節の円山公園を散歩していて、奥の方へ進んだところにありました。浄土真宗の親鸞（しんらん）聖人の墓所ということで空気感がここだけ違う感じで、まさに聖域といった厳かな雰囲気でした。
From Yasaka Shrine, I was taking a walk in Maruyama Park during the autumn foliage season, and it was at the back of the park. Since it was the tomb of the Shinran saint of Jodo Shin Buddhism, the atmosphere was different only here, and it was a solemn atmosphere like a sanctuary.
たまたまかもしれませんが、それほど観光客は多くはなかったです。円山公園はかなりのにぎわいだったのでちょっと意外でした。
It may be a coincidence, but there were not so many tourists. Maruyama Park was quite busy, so it was a little surprising.
ねねの道から300mくらい緩やかなのぼり坂を上っていきます。上に上がると広い敷地に休憩所や現役の檀家の墓があります。さらに上ると本堂がありそこに親鸞（しんらん）様がお眠りになっているそうです。
From Nene-no-michi, go up a gentle slope for about 300m. If you go up, there is a rest area and the tomb of the active Dan family on a large site. If you go further up, there is the main hall, where Shinran-sama is said to be sleeping.
感心したのはどこを探しても文字通りチリ一つ落ちていないと言うことです。ここまできれいだと清々しくなります。ご興味のある方は東本願寺とセットでどうぞ。そうそう、ここでも東本願寺グッズを売っています。
What impressed me was that no matter where I looked, there was literally not a single dust drop. It’s refreshing when it’s this clean. If you are interested, please set it with Higashi Honganji. Oh yes, they also sell Higashi Honganji goods here.
