この橋は、七条通（京都府道113号梅津東山七条線）を通る全長81.9メートル、幅員18.1メートルの構造を持ち、スパン（支間の長さ）は15.24メートル（50フィート）、アーチの高さは1.5メートル（5フィート）です。
It has a structure with a total length of 81.9 meters and a width of 18.1 meters, which runs through Shichijo-dori (Kyoto Prefectural Route 113 Umezu Higashiyama Shichijo Line), with a span of 15.24 meters (50 feet) and an arch height of 1.5 meters (5 feet).
このアーチ構造は鉄筋コンクリートアーチ橋（RCアーチ橋）として知られており、黎明期（れいめいき）のRCアーチとしては群を抜いて巨大で、鴨川筋で唯一明治期の意匠を残しています。2008年には土木学会から「土木学会選奨土木遺産」に認定されました。
This arch structure is known as the reinforced concrete arch bridge (RC arch bridge), and is by far the largest RC arch of the early days, and is the only one in Kamogawa-suji that retains the design of the Meiji period. In 2008, it was recognized by the Japan Society of Civil Engineers as a “Civil Engineering Heritage Selected by the Japan Society of Civil Engineers”.
七条大橋は、セセッション式欧風意匠とされるデザイン様式を持っており、橋の付近からは東山の山々を望むことができます。また、南側には東海道本線・東海道新幹線の鉄橋が見えます。

登録有形文化財に指定されている鉄筋コンクリート造りの橋で大正２年に竣工した旨が京都市による高札型（こうさつがた）説明板に記されていました。現在も生活道路の一端を担っているようで相当の交通量があるようでした。
It is a reinforced concrete bridge designated as a registered tangible cultural property, and the fact that it was completed in Taisho 2 was written on the explanation board of the Kosatsugata type by Kyoto City. It seems that it is still a part of the local road, and there seems to be a lot of traffic.
何でもない只の橋ですが、築後１００年以上が経過していて、鴨川に架かる橋としては最古のものらしい。５連のアーチ橋。当初は６連アーチ橋で長さも現在のものよりも３０ｍも長かったことになる。土木遺産にも指定されているそうです。

七条通りそのものは四条通や五条通との相対的比較ではマイナー感は否めない。通行量も川端通が整備されたので多くはなったが、京都駅へと進む車や堀川通を経由して国道１号線や名神高速京都南ＩＣへ向かう車の通過橋となっています。
It is undeniable that Shichijo Street itself has a minor feel in comparison with Shijo-dori and Gojo-dori. Although the amount of traffic has increased due to the development of Kawabata-dori, it has become a passing bridge for cars going to Kyoto Station and going to National Route 1 and Meishin Expressway Kyoto Minami IC via Horikawa-dori.
