高台寺は慶長十一年（1606）に建てられ、建仁寺（けんにんじ）の三江紹益（みえ-じょうえき）を開山としています。
Kodaiji Temple was built in the eleventh year of Keicho (1606) and was opened at Mie-Jōeki of Kenninji.
バス停「東山安井」から徒歩7分、京都駅から市バス206番で約15分、京阪祇園四条駅から市バス207番で約5分、阪急京都河原町駅から市バス207番で約10分でアクセスできます。
It is a 7-minute walk from Higashiyama Yasui bus stop, about 15 minutes by city bus 206 from Kyoto Station, about 5 minutes by city bus 207 from Keihan Gion Shijo Station, and about 10 minutes by city bus 207 from Hankyu Kyoto Kawaramachi Station.
拝観料は大人600円、中高生250円です4。高台寺は東山三十六峰に数えられる標高約210メートルの東山 山頂公園に位置しています。訪れる際には、美しい庭園と歴史的な雰囲気を楽しんでくださいね！🌸🍁
Admission is 600 yen for adults and 250 yen for junior high and high school students4. Kodaiji Temple is located in Higashiyama Summit Park at an altitude of about 210 meters, which is one of the 36 peaks of Higashiyama. 園名の通り、高台寺（こうだいじ）に隣接した公園で、片側は「ねねの道」に面していました。「ねねの道」からは少し上がった場所となっており観光序にわざわざ上がって行く程の公園でもありませんでしたが、歩き疲れて一寸休憩するには良さそうでした。
As the name suggests, it was a park adjacent to Kodaiji Temple, and one side faced “Nene no Michi”. It was a little up from “Nene-no-michi” and it was not a park that I bothered to go up to for sightseeing, but it seemed to be a good place to take a break when I was tired of walking.
付近一帯が景観地区であるがために〝路上喫煙禁止区域〟となっています。トイレの横になるが市が作った〝喫煙コーナー〟があり、喫煙者の憩いの場となっています。
Because the surrounding area is a scenic area, it is a “smoking prohibited area on the street”. Next to the toilet, there is a “smoking corner” created by the city, which is a place of relaxation for smokers.
トイレは車椅子対応となっていますが、公園自体に階段があります。自動販売機も完備しており手軽に喉の渇きを癒すこともできます。
The restrooms are wheelchair accessible, but there are stairs in the park itself. There are also vending machines so you can easily quench your thirst.
