京都市東山区本町十二丁目にある、京阪電気鉄道および西日本旅客鉄道（JR西日本）の駅です。
Located in Honmachi 12-chome, Higashiyama-ku, Kyoto, it is a station of Keihan Electric Railway and Nishi Japan West Railway (JR Nishi Japan).
この駅は、京都の玄関口であり、京阪電気鉄道の京阪本線とJR西日本の奈良線が乗り入れています。連絡改札口も設置されており、JR線下りと京阪線上りを平面でつなぐことができます。
It is the gateway to Kyoto and is served by the Keihan Main Line of Keihan Electric Railway and the Nara Line of JR West Japan. There is also a connecting ticket gate, so you can connect the JR line down and the Keihan line up on a flat surface.

通天橋からの深緑に感動：通天橋からは深緑の景色が広がります。紅葉の時期ではなくても、美しい風景を楽しめます。通天橋から眺める紅葉はまさに絶景です。
