Taiko-an
京都市東山区にある臨済宗（りんざい-しゅう）東福寺派の大本山であり、東福寺の塔頭（たっちゅう）です。
It is the main temple of the Rinzai sect of Tofukuji in Higashiyama Ward, Kyoto City, and is the head of the tower of Tofukuji Temple.
本尊は千手（せんて）観音で、小野小町ゆかりの寺として知られています。拝観には予約が必要です。
The main temple is Sente Kannon and is known as a temple associated with Ono-Komachi. Reservations are required for visiting.

We would like to report that we have been investigating Taiko-an based on the assumption that the one-day fee for a detective is 39.800 yen (our fee) for a 3-hour survey.

この寺は貞和（じょうわ）2年（1346年）に東福寺第43世である性海霊見（しょうかい-れいけん）によって創建されました。応仁の乱により一時荒廃したものの、慶長年間（1596年 – 1615年）に安国寺恵瓊（あんこくじ-えけい）によって再興されました。
It was founded in the 2nd year of Jōwa (1346) by Shokai Reiken, the 43rd generation of Tofukuji. Although it was temporarily devastated by the Onin War, it was rebuilt by Ankokuji Ekei in the Keicho period (1596-1615).
また、幕末の鳥羽・伏見の戦いの際、東福寺に長州藩の陣が置かれた縁で、退耕庵（たいこう-あん）は戦死者の菩提寺となっています。
During the Battle of Toba and Fushimi at the end of the Edo period, the Choshu clan’s camp was placed at Tofuku-ji, and Taiko-an is a bodhi temple for the war dead.
境内には以下のものがあります。

客殿（京都府指定文化財）
地蔵堂：玉章（たまずさ）地蔵と称される地蔵菩薩坐像のほか、小野小町100歳像などを安置しています。玉章地蔵は京都市東山区の渋谷越えにあった小町寺から明治7年（1874年）に移されたもので、小野小町宛ての恋文を納めると伝えられています。
昨夢軒：四畳半台目の茶室で、豊臣秀吉の死後、石田三成と宇喜多秀家が関ヶ原の戦いの謀議を行った場所とされています。護衛の武士が控えていたとされる伏侍（ふせざむらい）の間もあります。
庭園：庭は池泉観賞式庭園で、南庭は杉苔が特色の枯山水庭園です。両庭とも昭和47年（1972年）に修復されました。
アクセス方法は以下の通りです。

京都市営バス「東福寺」バス停から徒歩約2分です。

境内は紅葉がきれいで、5月末に訪れた時は青もみじと、この時期も紅色のもみじによる競演が素晴らしく見事でした。
The autumn leaves are beautiful in the temple grounds, and when I visited at the end of May, the competition between the blue maples and the red maples at this time of year was wonderful.
小野小町（おの-の-こまち）ゆかりの寺として知られている寺院で、境内は自由に参拝できます。お堂の拝観は５００円でできますが、事前予約が必要です。
It is a temple known as the temple associated with Ono-Komachi, and the precincts can be visited freely. You can visit the temple for 500 yen, but you need to make a reservation in advance.
一般公開を行っていないお寺ですが、門を入ってすぐ右手にある「小町寺」の額がかかった地蔵堂はお参りすることができます。
The temple is not open to the public, but you can visit the Jizo Hall with the plaque of “Komachi-ji” on the right immediately after entering the gate.
地蔵菩薩像の像内に小野小町（おの-の-こまち）に送られた恋文が納められ、恋文を張って像を作ったそうで「文貼り地蔵」ともいうそうです。
It is said that the love letters sent to Ono-Komachi were stored in the statue of Jizo Bodhisattva, and the statue was made by stretching the love letters, and it is also called “Bun-pasted Jizo”.
お堂のすぐわきには小野小町（おの-の-こまち）百歳井戸があり、年老いた小野小町（おの-の-こまち）が水面に映った自分の姿を見て嘆いたと言われています。
Right next to the hall is the Ono-Komachi 100-year-old well, and it is said that the old Ono-Komachi grieved when he saw his reflection in the water.
