丸太町橋（まるたまちばし）は一級河川・鴨川（かもがわ）に架けられた橋長約92.0メートル・幅員約22.8メートルの橋です。丸太町橋は上流の荒神橋と下流の二条大橋の間に位置し、丸太町通（まるたまちどおり）に架けられています。
Marutamachi Bridge is a bridge with a length of about 92.0 meters and a width of about 22.8 meters over the Kamogawa River, a first-class river. The Marutamachi Bridge is located between the Aragami Bridge upstream and the Nijo Bridge downstream, and is located on Marutamachi Street.
丸太町通は東側の鹿ヶ谷通から西側の嵯峨釈迦堂大門町を結んでいます。丸太町通の名称はかつて西堀川に材木商が多かったことに由来しています。ちなみに丸太町通はかつて春日通とも言われていたそうです。丸太町橋はかつて架けられていた木橋が起源とも言われています。

その後度々流されました。丸太町橋は1912年（明治45年・大正元年）に架橋が開始され、1913年（大正2年）に完成したと言われています。明治時代末期から大正時代に京都市三大事業が行われた際に道路が拡張され、その後昭和初期に京都市電の敷設されました。

ちなみに大正時代に架けられた橋は橋長約106.3メートル・幅員約21.8メートルのコンクリート橋で、中央部に軌道敷が設けられていました。その後1976年（昭和51年）に市電が廃止されました。現在の丸太町橋は旧・丸太町橋の老朽化に伴って、1991年（平成3年）に架け替えられました。

丸太町橋は鋼製の桁の外側に化粧板が取り付けられ、中間にバルコニーが設けられています。ちなみに「いのちを守る橋りょう健全化プログラム」に基づき、今後耐震補強工事が行われる予定です。なお丸太町橋と賀茂大橋の間にある鴨川左岸（東側）の河川敷は広域避難場所に指定されています。
The Marutamachi Bridge has a veneer attached to the outside of the steel girder and a balcony in the middle. By the way, based on the “Bridge Improvement Program to Protect Life”, seismic reinforcement work will be carried out in the future.
