祇園四条駅を降りてすぐにあります。ここを渡ってまっすぐ進むと八坂神社があります。なので人も車もいつも多いです。京都市内を流れる鴨川にかかる橋です。川端通りとの交差点にあります。
It is located immediately after getting off Gion Shijo Station. If you cross here and go straight ahead, you will find Yasaka Shrine. So there are always a lot of people and cars. It is a bridge over the Kamo River that flows through the city of Kyoto. It is located at the intersection with Kawabata Street.
四条大橋そのものが観光客をひきつけるのではなく、観光客をひきつけるもののそばに架かっているので渡る人が多い。古来、八坂神社の参道として多くの善男善女が歩き、新選組も幕末の志士も走り抜けた橋。
The Shijo Bridge itself does not attract tourists, but many people cross it because it is built next to something that attracts tourists. Since ancient times, many good men and women have walked on the path to Yasaka Shrine, and the bridge has been run through by both the Shinsengumi and the Bakumatsu aspirants.
現代は東側に八坂神社など東山一帯の観光資源や祇園のお茶屋群、南座、西側には四条河原町に木屋町、先斗町（ぽんとちょう）と歓楽街を抱え、交通機関も阪急、京阪、各種バスが止まるとあって人が集中。橋の下の鴨川河川敷にはカップルがよく座っているが、昔からなぜか等間隔。
In modern times, it has tourist resources in the Higashiyama area such as Yasaka Shrine on the east side, tea houses in Gion, Minamiza, and entertainment districts such as Shijo Kawaramachi, Kiya Town, and Pontocho on the west side, and transportation is also concentrated with Hankyu, Keihan, and various buses. Couples often sit on the riverbed of the Kamo River under the bridge, but for some reason they have always been evenly spaced.
