ライトアップ期間: 令和6年3月23日（土）から4月14日（日）まで。ライトアップは午後6時から午後10時まで行われます。

ライトアップの時間中、園内に「かがり火」が設置されていますので、併せてお楽しみください（かがり火は3月31日で終了しました）。
During the illumination time, a “bonfire” is set up in the park, so please enjoy it as well (the bonfire ended on March 31st).
場所取り（あらかじめブルーシート等を広げて場所を確保すること）は禁止されています。節度を持ったお花見をお願いします。

円山公園は、京阪電車の祇園祭駅から徒歩約10分の八坂神社さんの東隣りにある広大な敷地を有する公園です。京都では特別有名な祇園しだれ桜🌸で、テレビのニュースで京都の花見を紹介するときに頻繁に登場する京都を代表する桜🌸の一つです。
Maruyama Park is a park with a vast site located to the east of Yasaka Shrine Mr./Ms., about a 10-minute walk from Gion Matsuri Station on the Keihan Railway. In Kyoto, it is a particularly famous Gion weeping sakura🌸, and it is one of Kyoto’s representative sakura🌸 that often appears when introducing Kyoto sakura🌸 viewing on TV news.
京都の桜🌸も見頃を迎えて来ましたが、やっぱりここを見なけりゃ京都の春は始まりません。東山には高台寺や知恩院に清水寺と、有名どころの桜🌸がたくさんありますが、わたしは円山公園の祇園しだれ桜🌸が一番好きです。
Kyoto’s sakura🌸 are in full bloom, but if you don’t see them here, spring in Kyoto won’t begin. There are Mr./Ms. famous sakura🌸 in Higashiyama, such as Kodai-ji Temple, Chion-in Temple, and Kiyomizu-dera Temple, but I like the Gion weeping sakura🌸 in Maruyama Park the most.
実は、祇園しだれ桜🌸は現在二代目で、初代は昭和22年に樹齢220年で枯死してしまいました。その初代の種子から大事に育てられた桜が、樹齢約80年を数える大木に成長した現在の祇園しだれ桜🌸なのです。
In fact, the Gion weeping sakura🌸 is currently in its second generation, and the first generation died in Showa 22 at the age of 220. The cherry blossoms that were carefully nurtured from the seeds of the first generation are the current Gion weeping sakura🌸 that have grown into large trees that are about 80 years old.
