京都市東山区にある臨済宗建仁寺（りんざいしゅう-けんにんじ）派の寺院です。
It is a temple of the Rinzai sect Kenninji sect located in Higashiyama Ward, Kyoto City.
高台寺（こうだいじ）の塔頭（たっちゅう）。通称「ねねの寺」としても知られています。
The head of the tower of Kodaiji. It is also commonly known as “Nene-no-ji”.

豊臣秀吉の正室である北政所（きた-の-まんどころ）ねねが晩年に自身の本拠地としたことでも有名です。
It is also famous for the fact that Kita-no-Mandokoro Nene, the official office of Toyotomi Hideyoshi, made it his home base in his later years.
圓徳院（えんとくいん）には、伏見城 化粧御殿前（けしょう-ごてんまえ）庭を映した豪快な石組みの北庭や、長谷川等伯（とうはく）による「山水図襖（ふすま）」があります。
In Entokuin, there is a magnificent stone-framed north garden that reflects the garden in front of Fushimi Castle’s Makeup Palace, and a “Sansui Sliding Door (Bran)” by Hasegawa Toshihaku.
拝観時間は10:00～17:00（17:30閉門）で、大人の拝観料は500円、中高生は200円（美術館含む）です。訪れてみる価値のある場所ですね！
Admission hours are 10:00~17:00 (gates close at 17:30), and the admission fee is 500 yen for adults and 200 yen for junior high and high school students (including the museum). It’s a place worth a visit!

京都らしい庭園をゆっくり見ることができます。畳に座って庭園を見ると心を落ち着かせることができます。時間をかけてゆっくりするとよいと思われます。
You can take a leisurely look at the Kyoto-style garden. Sitting on tatami mats and looking at the garden can be calming. It is better to take your time and relax.
北庭に200以上の巨石が配置されており、これら一つ一つが諸国の大名が秀吉に忠誠を誓うために贈られたものであり、裏に家紋が入っているそうです。この庭を見渡せる座敷に座ると、まさに諸国の戦国大名がひれ伏しているかのような感じを味わえます。
More than 200 megaliths are placed in the north garden, and each of these was given to the daimyo of various countries to pledge allegiance to Hideyoshi, and it is said that the family crest is on the back. When you sit on the tatami mat overlooking this garden, you can feel as if the warring lords of the countries are prostrate.

If you use the AMEX lounge, you can visit Entokuin for free. Kombucha is also served, and you can also get a one-hour discount on the Kodaiji parking lot. At the back is the hall of the three-sided Daikokuten (Mr./Ms. Daikokuten) that Hideyoshi protected.
