石清水八幡宮は、👦

Iwashimizu Hachimangu

この神社は、男山（鳩ヶ峰）と呼ばれる標高143メートルの山上に鎮座しており、平安時代前期の貞観年間に大安寺の僧・行教が宇佐神宮から勧請（かんじょう）したものです。創建年については諸説ありますが、貞観元年（859年）または貞観2年（860年）とされています。

This shrine is located on a mountain at an altitude of 143 meters called Otokoyama (Hatogamine), and was solicited from Usa Jingu by the monks of Daianji Temple during the Sadakan year of the early Heian period. There are various theories about the year of its founding, but it is said to be the first year of Sadakan (859) or the second year of Sadakan (860).

行教は宇佐八幡宮で八幡大菩薩のお告げを受け、それを朝廷に報告し、清和天皇の命を受けて八幡造りの社殿が造営されたとも言われています。

石清水八幡宮の表参道入口に立つ「一ノ鳥居」は、高さ約9メートル、最大幅約11メートルの石造りの鳥居です。元々は木製でしたが、1636年（寛永13年）に松花堂昭乗（しょうかどう しょうじょう）の発案により花崗岩製のものに造り替えられました23。鳥居には「八幡宮」の文字が刻まれており、その「八」の字は神使の双鳩になっています。

The Ichino Torii, which stands at the entrance to Omotesando at Iwashimizu Hachimangu Shrine, is a stone torii gate with a height of about 9 meters and a maximum width of about 11 meters. It was originally made of wood, but in 1636 (Kanei 13), it was rebuilt into a granite one at the suggestion of Shokado Shojo23. The word “Hachimangu” is engraved on the torii gate, and the figure “eight” is the double dove of the divine envoy.

石清水八幡宮の表参道にある大きな鳥居です。なかなか見事な鳥居です。京阪石清水八幡宮駅から参道に向かうと最初に現れる鳥居です。歴史を感じる石製の鳥居で、八幡宮と掲げられてます。

It is a large torii gate in the Omotesando of Iwashimizu Hachimangu. It is quite a stunning torii. It is the first torii gate that appears when you head to the approach from Keihan Iwashimizu Hachimangu Station. It is a stone torii gate with a sense of history, and it is called Hachimangu.

このあたりまでは平坦ですが、そのあと石段が続くので、足腰に自信のない方はケーブルカーで山頂に向かうのも一つの方法です。

It’s flat up to this point, but there are stone steps after that, so if you’re not confident in your legs, one way is to take a cable car to the top of the mountain.

石清水八幡宮の一番目の鳥居です。男山のふもとの頓宮の入口に立っており、石清水八幡宮駅駅からも近い場所にありました。江戸時代初期に建てられた歴史のある鳥居だそうです。

八幡宮の神の使いは「鳩」です。鳥居には神社名が書かれていますが、「八幡宮」の「八」は二匹の鳩が並んでいます。鳥居のまん前に有名な走井餅（はしりいもち）老舗が有ります。
