この5館は、佐賀市の重要文化財に指定されており、観光・見学施設として無料公開されています。2016年4月より、旧森永家、旧久富家が追加され、佐賀市歴史民俗館は7館となりました。
These five museums are designated as important cultural properties of Saga City and are open to the public free of charge as sightseeing and tour facilities. From April 2016, the former Morinaga family and the former Kutomi family were added, bringing the number of Saga City History and Folklore Museum to seven.
佐賀市歴史民俗館は、現代に残る歴史的建造物を後世に伝えるとともに、市の財産として役立てようと整備・保存されているものです。また、佐賀県遺産に登録されている旧森永家、旧久富家も含まれます。
The Saga City History and Folklore Museum is maintained and preserved to pass on the historical buildings that remain in the present day to future generations and to serve them as city assets. 開館時間は火曜日から日曜日までの9:00から17:00までで、月曜日は休館日です。また、入場料は無料です。

※歴史民俗館周辺には一方通行の道路があるためお車でお越しの際は、周囲の標識を十分にご確認ください。
自転車は古賀銀行東側に駐輪スペースがございます。
佐賀駅バスセンターより、佐賀市営バス佐賀大学・西与賀（または東与賀）方面行き乗車。もしくは、西鉄バス西鉄久留米行きまたは、西鉄柳川駅行き、信愛女学院・久留米行き乗車。バス停「呉服元町」下車、徒歩約1分です。
