We would like to report that we have been investigating the area around Sanjo Ohashi (South) assuming that the daily fee for a detective is 39.800 yen (our fee) for a 3-hour survey. The Sanjo Bridge is one of Kyoto’s most iconic historical bridges.

歴史、👦
history
この橋はその昔、江戸時代（1603年~1868年）東海道五十三次の西の起点なっています。
This bridge used to be the starting point of the 53rd order of the Tokaido in the Edo period (1603~1868).
この橋は、室町時代前期には、すでにごく簡素な構造をもつ橋として鴨川に架けられていたものと推定されます。
It is presumed that this bridge was already built over the Kamo River as a bridge with a very simple structure in the early Muromachi period.
本格的な橋となったのは、豊臣秀吉の命により奉行増田長盛が大改造を行った天正18年（1590年）です。
It became a full-fledged bridge in the 18th year of Tensho (1590), when magistrate Masuda Nagamori underwent a major remodeling at the behest of Toyotomi Hideyoshi.
また、三条大橋は日本で最初に「駅伝競走」がここをスタート地点として行われた駅伝発祥の地とか。
In addition, Sanjo Ohashi Bridge is the birthplace of ekiden, where the first “ekiden race” was held in Japan as the starting point.
三条大橋東詰めの場所には、江戸時代「尊王論」を説いた高山彦九郎の像があります。
At the east end of the Sanjo Ohashi Bridge, there is a statue of Takayama Hikokuro, who preached the “Theory of the Sonō” in the Edo period.
また、三条大橋付近の河原は「三条河原」と言われ、石川五右衛門、豊臣秀次、石田三成、近藤勇ら歴史的人物の処刑や晒し首が行われた処刑場だつたとか。
In addition, the riverbed near the Sanjo Bridge is called “Sanjo Kawara”, and it is said that it was an execution site where historical figures such as Ishikawa Goemon, Toyotomi Hidetsugu, Ishida Mitsunari, and Isamu Kondo were executed and beheaded.

三条大橋から南側を眺めると、鴨川の流れが見えます。

また、南側には、東山の山々が広がり、その中に清水寺や八坂神社などの有名な寺社が見えます。
