清水寺（きよみずでら）: 「清水の舞台」で知られる大人気スポット。長らくお預けだった舞台がご覧いただけるようになりました。本堂や三重塔が一望でき、世界遺産に登録されています。
八坂神社（やさかじんじゃ）: 四条通の突き当りに面した朱塗りの楼門が目印。厄除けのご利益で知られ、京都三大祭のひとつ「祇園祭」は同社の祭礼です。
花見小路（はなみこうじ）: 石畳に町家が並ぶ、京情緒あふれる花街・祇園のメインストリート。カフェやお食事処も増加中で、散策が楽しいスポットです。
円山公園（まるやまこうえん）: “祇園しだれ”と親しまれる桜が有名。ライトアップされた花見は美しいです。
知恩院（ちおんいん）: 木造二重門・三門（国宝）を筆頭に、どの伽藍も圧巻のスケール。春には「ミッドナイト念仏 in 御忌」と題し、荘厳な雰囲気の中、夜通し念仏を唱える行事が行われます。
祇園・東山エリアは、歴史的な名所や美しい景観が豊富で、一度は訪れてみる価値があります。

平日でしたが、八坂神社も四条通も花見小路も人・人・人で溢れかえっていました。人の波も激しいし、忙し過ぎててゆっくりできず、せっかくの京都なのにちょっと残念です。圧倒的に外国人観光客が多かったです。さすが人気のエリアです。
It was a weekday, but Yasaka Shrine, Shijo-dori, and Hanami Koji were full of people, people, people. The waves of people are intense, and I’m too busy to relax, which is a little disappointing even though it’s Kyoto. There were overwhelmingly many foreign tourists. As expected, it is a popular area.
祇園町の真ん中を南北に走る通りで、北は三条通から南は建仁寺前まで続きます。四条通からは昔ながらのお茶やさんがあります。夜は静かな祇園ですが、お昼は人通りも多く、観光客の方が多く散策しています。昔と変わってお店も気軽に入れるようになったようです。
It is a street that runs north-south through the middle of Gioncho, from Sanjo-dori in the north to Kenninji-mae in the south. From Shijo-dori, there is an old-fashioned tea and Mr./Ms.. Gion is quiet at night, but there are many people passing by at noon, and many tourists are strolling around. It seems that it has changed from the past and it has become easy to enter the store.
祇園といえば花見小路ですね！最近海外の観光客で京都らしさを感じる場所として人気の場所です。以前は祇園といえば、高級料亭を利用する特定のお客様向けの場所。この小路のお店のたたずまいは、落ち着いた雰囲気があります。路地に入れば和の雰囲気が漂っています。ただ、路地は私有地のため写真は禁止でした。
Speaking of Gion, it’s Hanami Koji! Recently, it has become a popular place for overseas tourists to feel the uniqueness of Kyoto. In the past, Gion was a place for specific customers who used high-end restaurants. The atmosphere of this alley shop has a calm atmosphere. If you enter the alley, there is a Japanese atmosphere. However, photography was prohibited because the alley was private property.
